St Luke’s Prayer Network:
Did you know that there are quite a few people in a St Luke’s group who are ready and willing to pray for you when they receive a phone call or an email? Are you struggling with a problem – spiritual or practical? Would it help to know that people are praying for you?
Then please ring Lynne Herbert [01923 673984 or email lynne@herbert.eclipse.co.uk] or ring or email, Revd. Mike Rajkovic on [01923 681107 or mrajk30852@aol.com] for matters of general church interest.
New Preaching Series on Aspects of Discipleship from August ...
We will be looking at Giving, Prayer, forgiveness and Heaven [and Hell] from the first Sunday in August.
It's relevant stuff on what it means to be a disciple - learning to be more ike Jesus. ‘We need to be true disciples. ‘A disciple is a Christian – not the supercharged version of a Christian, one that is more mature than “ordinary” Christians or one that has been through a certain curriculum. A disciple is a person who has trusted in Jesus for salvation and consequently has enlisted as his apprentice, learning from him how to live, and becoming like him in the process. “Discipleship is the Christian life. And the goal of the Christian life is to become like Jesus.”’ [Tim Morey Embodying Our Faith]
We hope to see you.
